It’s a quirky name, I know. But I really am Carol Of Moon- much like the Game of Thrones, Brienne of Tarth!
For 16 years I have lived in Moon Township, Pennsylvania with my family, three dogs, two cats and one snow leopard gecko.
I first used my handle “CarolOfMoon” when I set up my Instagram account and became friends with all of my kids’ friends. One jokester friend refered to me as CarolOfMoon- and, so it stuck.
And here I am.
I grew up in the colorful town of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania where you had to be quick witted and sarcastic.
And, well, that too stuck!
Somewhere between 5 and 50 I gained a fondness for eating, learning about and cooking foods of all sort, interesting culinary destinations and quirky stuff.
But mostly I love sharing my food with the people that mean the world to me.
I’ve had two amazing mentors with cooking, my cousins Cindy Litterini Smith and Mark Singo- they have graciously answered my 10,000 questions without being annoyed, but mostly I‘m self taught— reading a lot of books and magazines and recipes. And watching a lot of shows- Martha Stewart, Emeril Lagassee, Alton Brown, anything on FoodNetwork, and everything streaming during Covid lockdown.
Thanks for coming by. Kick off your shoes (and sit right down) and stay awhile. Pour yourself a beverage and we can learn about cooking together. 🙂 (I hope you sang that sentence like Rod Stewart)
…and don’t forget to sign up!! That’s the most important part.
